I admit that I have a love/hate relationship with this month. I hate the fact that around this time the temperature starts to fall, but on the other hand, October is the month of Halloween - one of my favourite holidays. Also I especially Iike the colors associated with this season - earth tones, beiges, browns and all those colors you can find on a pile of dry leaves.
I always like to change some elements in my home to make it feel like fall. But on the other hand I really don't like the idea of spending tons of money on things that will be part of the decor for only three months.
